About the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The UK  General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") came into force on 1st January 2021. UK GDPR strengthens the rights of individuals regarding their personal data.  UK GDPR covers the key privacy principles along with individual rights and business’ obligations when processing personal data in the United Kingdom and sits alongside the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

GDPR brings additional obligations regarding personal data protection that apply to our business. We welcome the opportunity to enhance our processes and systems to meet these requirements.

GDPR concerns personal data

Personal data is defined as: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the data subject).

We focus mainly on companies and businesses

We operate in a business-to-business market. When providing our products and services, we collect and process information on companies and businesses. However, in the process of doing so, we also process data that could qualify as personal data under UK  law. This includes information relating to an individual (e.g. a sole trader, a company director, a beneficial owner, or a professional contact). In addition, we store the contact details of the individuals we do business with and anyone who subscribes to our email notifications.

We protect personal data

Your trust in how we handle your personal data is important to us. We’re committed to using your personal data carefully and securely in a transparent manner. We invest in protecting your personal data in all areas including when you use our websites, applications, portals, or sign up for our newsletters. We also work to protect your personal data should you engage our services as a customer, a contact person of our customer, trade (as a counterparty) with our customers, or when you do business with us as our business partner or supplier.

Privacy Statement

Please see our Privacy Statement for further details on the way we use your personal data. This features information we’re required to give in relation to the processing of personal data under UK law. It includes an overview of what personal data we collect, when we collect it, how we use such data, and how long we keep personal data. In this Privacy Statement you can also find information on how you can access and update your personal data and on your rights as a data subject.
