Atradius Appoints James Burgess Head of UK Commercial

Press release

Cardiff, 10 July 2020: Atradius announces James Burgess as Head of UK Commercial with effect from 01 July 2020.

James, who has been with Atradius since February 2014, joins the UK & Ireland Commercial Management Team under the leadership of recently appointed Regional Director Stuart Ramsden.

In his new role James will assume overall responsibility for account teams and sales for both corporate and SME segments, while Richard Reynolds, who also joins the UK management team will continue to lead the strategic account segment. Based at Atradius’ City of London office, James has led the London & South East Commercial team and Atradius has seen the portfolio prosper under his management. A graduate of the University of Kent, James has been in the trade credit insurance industry for almost 20 years and has worked in commercial roles for all of that time, including managing strategic accounts and sales at both regional and national level.

Stuart Ramsden, Regional Director for Atradius UK & Ireland, said:

James brings experience and a wealth of knowledge to this role, and I am confident that with his leadership our commercial teams will continue to deliver the very best solutions for our customers. James’ past performance speaks for itself and assures a bright future for Atradius in the UK.”

James aged 43, is married with a 13 year old son, 10 year old daughter and lives in Essex. With his roots firmly in the south east, James’ sporting passions run farther afield, and as a long-time follower of Middlesbrough FC, he has stuck with ‘his team’ through the highs and [more often] lows of the club’s fortunes since seeing his first game ‘Boro v Walsall in 1986 – loyalty is clearly a trait that James has in spades.

Atradius congratulates James Burgess on his appointment as Head of UK Commercial and wishes him success in the role.
